ABOUT US
Skillman Child Development Center started as a one-day program in the fall of 1994 with 3 classes and 20 children. As the program expanded, initial application was made to the Texas Department of Protective and Family Services to become a licensed childcare facility. This process was successfully completed by 1997. In 2009, on the 15th anniversary of the school, the state of Texas recognized Skillman with an honorary resolution and state flag for the years of education and service to our community. Over the following years, Skillman CDC has grown to over 260 children and over 35 staff members.
WE develop children's skills
Our early education curriculum includes a wide variety of active learning tools such as computers, Spanish, age-appropriate manipulatives, arts and crafts, books, and dramatic play areas.

Pre-Kindergarten
Intended for children with one year remaining before entering Kindergarten
5-Day Fours
Intended for 4 year olds with 2 years remaining before entering Kindergarten
3-Day Preschool
Intended for 4 year olds with 2 years remaining before entering Kindergarten
2-Day Preschool
Intended for toddlers beginning at 18 months to 4 years old

At Skillman CDC, we want your child to thrive in a nurtured, loving environment giving them a solid foundation to learning. Our goal at Skillman is to send a well prepared child to Kindergarten, ready academically and emotionally. Our classrooms are available for ages 18 months to 5 years old.

June 2025 Summer Camp Registration
Now is the time for Summer Camp registration for June 2025! We are doing a virtual registration through Zeffy – a nonprofit portal that allows the church to take online payments without fees.
This portal is free for us to use, but does provide a space at checkout to donate – you are NOT REQUIRED to do so, but I know they would appreciate any donation. If you do not want to donate, please click the dropdown to “other” and $0 in box.
Please read through the description on the link for all information regarding camp. There are 4 links – each one is one week of camp. Please grab a ticket for each child you are enrolling in each week that you’d like to participate.
Please feel free to share these links with anyone that may be interested in camps! These are open to the public!
If there is a camp that is currently full, please grab a waitlist ticket for each camp that you want enroll your child in. Each waitlist ticket will ask for the child’s name, DOB, and the camp you want for them. If we are able to add them, I will send you a link to make the payment!
